2nd Year Design
Hey, what’s up?! My name it Zachery, but you can call me Zac! Currently I am a second year Design student enrolled in a joint program with York University and Sheridan College, also known by many as YSDN. I was born and raised in Oakville but I have traveled to many places around the world. My hobbies include jogging, traveling, eating, and taking more photos than the capacity of all my hard drives combined. If you ever want to go on a photo walk, don’t be afraid to hit me up!
I have applied my interest in photography in the professional field when I worked as an on-set photographer at a photo studio. Growing up, I was interested in many areas of the creative field such as graphic art, traditional art, photography, and even film. However, my interest in design grew when I became the editor of my high school yearbook for two years. I wanted to go into many creative fields but, ultimately, being the editor of the yearbook influenced my decision to pick design.
The community of the YSDN program is what I love most about being a designer. I love interacting with my peers because it helps my creativity flow. The spaces in which we work also enhance the creative atmosphere helping to create a positive environment. The professors in YSDN are very helpful in helping to improve my work which is another reason why I fell in love with this program. I wanted to contribute to keeping an engaging environment for my fellow designers, which is why I joined the Design Students Association. In the future, I plan to become a full-time graphic designer because it is what I love to do.
