Joyce Padua (BFA '19) is the winner of the 2021 Siminovitch Prize Designer Protege distinction. A costume and set designer, her work has been featured in a broad range of playing spaces—including shows with Factory Theatre, Canadian Stage, Thousand Islands Playhouse, and the Stratford Festival.
Set and costume designer Gillian Gallow (BFA 2004) was named the 2021 Laureate of the Siminovitch Prize, Canada’s largest and most prestigious theatre award.

Joshua Hughes just finished his 4th year in the York University Theatre program and is graduating in June. For this multifaceted performer, York University is a special place because it is where he started performing in drag as STAR.
