Biography

Dr. Matt Brubeck is a JUNO award-winning performer/composer/educator specializing in improvisation on the cello. Raised on jazz and classically trained at Yale, Matt is at ease in multiple genres and has taken his cello improvisation and composition skills into diverse musical territories. Matt has collaborated with more Canadian and international artists than he can remember and has enjoyed many eclectic musical adventures. Matt currently teaches Music Theory, Jazz Strings, and Improvisation at York and is also on the music faculty at Humber College. For more information: https://www.mattbrubeck.com/
