Biography
Professor McKernan teaches stage technology, exploring both leading-edge and traditional methodologies. As a scenic carpenter he has manifested over 300 designs for performance.
These include theatrical productions, TV, Film and multi-camera live to air events.
Over his 30 year career he has worked for many performing arts companies which include: McWood Studios, Bratton Scenery, Harold Green Jewish Theatre, Camino Capitol Arts Centre, Native Earth Performing Arts, Shakespeare in Action, Factory Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Tarragon Theatre, Canadian Stage, Soulpepper Theatre, Buddied in Bad Times Theatre, ARC Stage, Starvox Entertainment, Lighthouse Theatre and major variety shows (e.g., Genie Awards, Gemini Awards and Juno Awards).
