Sarah-Bay-ChengOn Thursday December 10 our dean, Sarah Bay-Cheng, appeared as a guest on 88.9 RED FM to discuss the challenges facing art schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design at York University has risen to the challenge. Most notably, she celebrated the contributions of alumni like Brendon McNaughton, who opened the virtual doors to his “Art Gate VR” digital space, allowing York University visual artists to exhibit works in virtual reality.

She also acknowledged the creativity and resilience that AMPD students have displayed during these challenging times, and praised faculty and staff who have worked tirelessly to allow students to have a transcendent experiences, even when they are studying from home.
