THE 2026 GTA MUSICFEST JAZZ ENSEMBLE AND JAZZ COMBO FESTIVAL
THE 2026 GTA MUSICFEST JAZZ ENSEMBLE AND JAZZ COMBO FESTIVAL is a 2-day event being held at York University, that serves as a Regional precursor to the 2026 MUSICFEST CANADA 54th ANNUAL NATIONALS JAZZ BAND AND COMBO FESTIVAL that will be held in Niagara Falls, On, on May 11-16. 2026.
The MUSICFEST Festival at York University will take place from Tuesday – Wednesday April 14-15, 2026 and will allow regional College/University, High School, Elementary and Community jazz bands to compete and be adjudicated and awarded by a panel of clinicians drawn from Toronto’s expert musicians and/or composers/arrangers. The MUSICFEST process is essential to the development of promising young bands that want to raise their awareness of the competitive musical environment in our educational system, and who strive to develop their skills as musicians and ensembles.
