Flora (Fan) Fan, Jason Merai and Loredana Infusini start new adventures

Flora (Fan) Fan, Jason Merai and Loredana Infusini start new adventures.

This summer, AMPD has gained some fantastic new staff members ready to take on the challenges of the 2022 academic year. The community has also said goodbye to some key changemakers who helped shape the School during turbulent and unsure times. We wish Flora (Fan) Fan, Jason Merai and Loredana Infusini all the best in their new adventures. We thank them for their longstanding commitment to professional excellence and the AMPD community.

Jason Merai

Director of Student and Community Engagement

Jason Merai, Director of Student and Community Engagement, is starting a new and exciting adventure as Associate Dean for Music and Fine Arts at Humber College. Jason joined AMPD in Fall 2019 and was essential in managing the School's pandemic response. Throughout his time at York, he has been a tireless advocate for students in AMPD and across the University, introducing and implementing the peer mentor program and serving as co-Chair of the University retention council, among other contributions. His creativity, kindness and, most importantly, enthusiasm in supporting our students will remind us to act with empathy as we enter the 2022 academic year.

Flora (Fan) Fan

Receptionist and Office Assistant | Office of the Dean

Fan will be leaving AMPD for an exciting career opportunity at Osgoode Law School as an Operations Assistant. Congratulations Fan! Fan has worked in the Dean's Office since August 3, 2021, and is an absolute pleasure to work with. We thank Fan for her outstanding contribution to supporting the Dean's Office administrative processes. Her commitment and positive energy will be missed.

Loredana Infusini

Executive Assistant | Office of the Dean

Loredana Infusini will be starting a new journey as Senior Executive Assistant to the President at Yorkville University, a private institution. Loredana began working at York University's English Language Institute (YUELI) as the Manager, Administration in 2015. She moved to AMPD in December 2016 as Operations Manager (Departmental Support) when the Executive Assitant resigned suddenly. She ably stepped in to take on those duties, then officially won the role through a competitive process. Loredana formally started in the executive assistant position on July 1, 2017, and has taken us through the past five years of many changes and challenges. During this time and in all of her roles, she has led improvement initiatives and created new processes to ensure administration ran more smoothly and efficiently.

AMPD is endlessly grateful for your commitment to creating a space where all feel welcomed and appreciated. The community wishes Loredana a prosperous and exciting next adventure!
