AMPD Frequently Asked Questions

Please upload at least two examples of your digital music projects to the audition website along with your supplementary application. Your examples should be between 3 and 10 minutes in length. If you send a performance, submit the audio/video as indicated on the online form. You may include a brief (5 - 10 minute) video of yourself describing your production process using one of your projects as a sample.

Interviews for this area will be conducted via Zoom. Please book an interview time using the online scheduling system once your supplementary application is complete.

You may choose to have an accompanist if that helps show your abilities in their best light however, it is not required. Here is a list of recommended accompanists for hire.  Specific suggestions for jazz audition accompaniments are below.

Students can choose to focus on composition, jazz, classical, or world music. However, the degree they graduate with will be a BA or BFA in Music.
