Students admitted directly into the program can jump in early by joining our Introduction to Production Practicum, an opportunity to work as an apprentice crew head on Theatre@York productions. You’ll collaborate with upper-year students, lead first-year crews, and gain real experience from day one.
As you move through the program, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more specialized roles in set, lighting, costume, sound, video, design, stage management, and production management. You’ll develop deeper creative and technical skills and have opportunities to connect with industry professionals. By the time you graduate, you’ll have a strong portfolio, professional-level experience, and the confidence to step into a range of creative careers in theatre, film, live events, and beyond.
