Summer Jazz & Groove Lab
The Department of Music at York University is excited to announce the 2026 in-person edition of the Nick Nurse Foundation Summer Jazz & Groove Lab. This unique summer camp, offered at a nominal cost, will afford high school students the opportunity to explore a range of musical styles including: Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Gospel, Hip-Hop and the blending of musical traditions from around the world.
All participants will work with the diverse and dynamic internationally renowned Faculty through daily instrumental masterclasses and ensemble workshops, as well as a variety of improvisation, theory, and guided listening seminars. This creative opportunity for young musicians to deepen their interest in contemporary styles of music will provide a vibrant environment for growth and discovery.

Cost: $175 per student
(including taxes and surcharges)
Registration Deadline: July 17, 2026
Paid Accommodation is available upon request.
