Community members from York University’s School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD) were among this year’s recipients at the 46th annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
Presented annually by the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts, the ceremony took place Monday, June 29 at Meridian Hall, celebrating work from the 2025-2026 season.

Sarah Hope Slean (MA '23 and Department of Music instructor), Canuck Cantatas
Outstanding New Opera
The Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award, voted on by the public, went to Shifting Ground Collective’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone. The company is co-led by Theatre alumni Joshua Kilimnik (BFA ’23) and Shannon Murtagh (BFA ’20).
This year, AMPD community members were recognized with 22 nominations across theatre, dance and performance.
