Emma Ferreira joins Rob Lowe's new Netflix comedy

Alum Emma Ferreira joins Rob Lowe's new Netflix comedy

2021 Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) Rising Star award recipient, Emma Ferreira (BFA), is joining the cast of Rob Lowe's Unstable alongside Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live), Sian Clifford (Fleabag) and John Owen Lowe (Holiday in the Wild) in the new Netflix comedy.

Unstable follows an introverted son, Jackson (John Owen Lowe), who goes to work for his very successful, wildly eccentric father, Ellis (Rob Lowe), to save his successful biotech company from disaster. The show is inspired by Rob and John Owen Lowe's social media relationship, in which the latter often humorously trolls his father.

Ferreira plays Ruby, a genius biotech engineer working in Ellis' biotech lab alongside co-worker and best friend Luna (Rachel Marsh). Ruby and Luna are complete opposites, with Luna being shy and awkward, happy to let the more outgoing, friendly, and accessible Ruby do the talking.

Unstable is currently in production, with a premiere date yet to be announced. Read more about Unstable here.
