Cinespace Studios Film & Video Production Award

Award Value: $1400.00

This award recognizes exceptional artistic merit and achievement shown by a Year 3 film and video major. Awarded at end of Winter term to a 3rd year Film & Video major returning to 4th year Production.


E.S. Rogers Film & Video Production Award

Award Value: $1850.00

Awarded in recognition of academic excellence to a Year 4 production student in the Department of Film to help offset production costs for an approved fourth-year project of outstanding merit. Successful recipients must submit receipt for their project to the Department of Film.


Film & Video Bursary

Award Value: $650

Student must apply and complete a Student Financial Profile.


Gajdecki Visual Effects Award

Award Value: $1200.00

Applicants must apply. This award supports production costs of the recipients fourth-year project.


Helen Vari Film Award

Award Value: $2500.00

Awarded to a student that demonstrates outstanding creative or scholarly achievement and overall excellence. Open to Film Majors in their 3rd or 4th year of study.


James Beveridge Bursary

Award Value: $800.00

Awarded to applicant with the best proposal for a documentary film for 4th year production.


Lynn Sarah Torode Memorial Scholarship

Award Value: $700

Given in recognition of academic/artistic excellence and promise

Preference will be given to a female student as this award commemorates Lynn Torode, the first female cinematographer at the CBC.

Universal Studios Canada Film & Video Scholarship

Award Value: $1250.00

Awarded to 4th year film and video majors in recognition of outstanding achievement in production work to date and the merit of their fourth-year project proposals. The scholarship will be used to offset production expenses of fourth-year projects.

All 4th year production students who have submitted project proposals are automatically considered. Successful candidates will receive their Scholarship funds upon presentation of receipts for production expenses associated with their fourth-year project.
